      $0.02/$0.04 No Limit Holdem

      Hand Conversion Powered by

      UTG Player1 ($4.89)
      UTG+1 Player2 ($4)
      MP1 William340 ($4.23)
      MP2 Player4 ($4.13)
      CO Player5 ($2.25)
      BTN Player6 ($3.26) - VPIP: 23, PFR: 8, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 13
      SB Player8 ($4.74)- VPIP: 39, PFR: 2, 3B: 0, AF: 0.5, Hands: 41
      BB Player9 ($1.68)

      Pre-Flop: ($0.06, 8 players) William340 is MP1 A:heart: 5:heart:
      2 folds, William340 raises to $0.12, 2 folds, Player6 calls $0.12, Player8 calls $0.10, 1 fold

      Flop: 9:club: 7:diamond: 5:club: ($0.40, 3 players)
      Player8 checks, William340 bets $0.30, Player6 folds, Player8 folds

      Final Pot: $0.40

      William340 wins $0.98 (net +$0.56)

      Player8 collects $0.00 (net -$0.12)
      Player6 lost $0.12

not really happy to get called in 2 spots.
and I end up in between them.
but I get a piece, and the flop is not terrible.
I Cbet like I had KK instead of bottom pair, "protecting my hand" from the club draw and possible straight draws (of course, 66 is going nowhere).

good idea & application, or bad idea and good application?

I don't think you should be raising AXs from early position, especially in full ring. I don't really like the cbet either, it was a very connected board (two to a flush, straight draws, middle pocket pairs hit etc) so I think you were very lucky to take it down. I would have just check folded,or if it was checked around maybe put in small bet on the turn depending no draws hit etc.

If you were to cbet maybe cbet a lot less like below half pot as you will get the same folds without risking more.

Don't raise AXs in early position in FR at 4NL as it's super fishy gamemode and you will get called and be OOP so many times! Hope this helps =) =)

      Hello William340,

Preflop: Kind of close from MP1, especially if you don't feel very good postflop with your hand. Might be safer not to play with those hands from that position but rather start to play from late positions and earn profit from there.

      As played
Postflop: Have to CB and protect our hand. :)

      Best Regards.

ZakumII - I appreciate the input.
overall for my brief session tonight I was vpip 13, pfr 7
since I started playing on Merge in March, I am 14/8 over 15.8k hands.

so it's not something I do a lot.
and technically, I was in middle position. :f_biggrin:

over my Merge sample my vpip/pfr by position
      ---overall --------------------in unopened pots
      EP 11/9 -------------------- 11/10
      MP 13/9 ------------------ 15/14
      CO 15/10 ----------------- 20/18
      BTN 20/12 -------------- 31.4/30.6

don't think I am ignoring your input, or downplaying its value,
I just wanted to show you it's not soomething I do a lot.
