Anything fundamentally wrong with my line in this hand? Checked behind turn for bluff induce & pot control. River raise kind of thin, but I figured weaker kings could still pay me. Probably folding if villain ships over though.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:

Preflop: Hero is with A, K.
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, calls $0.20, folds, calls $0.20, SB calls $0.18, BB calls $0.15.

      Flop: ($1) K, 2, 9 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, folds, folds, SB folds, BB calls $0.70.

      Turn: ($2.4) 7 (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero checks.

      River: ($2.4) 3 (2 players)
BB bets $1.15, Hero raises to $2.30, BB calls $1.15.

      Final Pot: $7.

      Results follow:

BB shows two pairs, threes and twos(3s 2s).
Hero shows a pair of kings(Ac Ks).

BB wins with two pairs, threes and twos(3s 2s).

If you thought he'd pay you off with weaker Kings, then why didn't you bet for value on the turn.

maby bet more on the flop since it is multi-way.

Cbet turn for value and protection.

Bet/fold river. Or check back river...... Im not sure, would depend on reads.

I think that is how i would play it :D

      Hello Brevvy2190,

Yeah, I don't get your line at all. You are Checking the turn but raising the river? Huh? :f_eek:

Bet the turn and bet the river if you want to get value rather than raise the river. What kind of worse hand calls you there which doesn't Call turn?

      Best Regards.
