Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is MP with K :club: J :spade:
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.75, 2 folds, SB calls $1.50, 1 fold

SB checks, Hero bets $14.25, SB calls $14.25

Guy was platinum and had < 20% WTSD.

Trying to figure out if I made any mistakes in sizing. I would expect to make him fold anything worse than ~ AQ (which should be like 95% his range) and still he ended up calling with A:club: 8:club: .

Thinking that I should've bet less on the river because I am not betting that big to get value form his weak range. :f_confused:

      Hello DeMarcohsp,

Turn: You have just 100 hands on the guy, therefore I'd be rather Checking behind the turn cause his range contains enough of Ax hands there and vs any other hands most likely I would assume we are even ahead or have decent equity.

      As played
River: I'd bet something like ~$12 max if I even go for the 3rd barrel at all which might not be the case. What do you think he is floating you with on the turn? Tx/PP? Vs almost any other FD you are even ahead with K high unless it's KQ nor I don't see him often folding Ax.

      Best Regards.

I was expecting him to fold AJ or lower, this was my targeted range. My question is why he did not fold A8 in this case? Is it because that once he decides to call turn he does it with the mentality that he has to call river as well?

Well, some draws missed and your sizing isn't really representing much either. Doubt that you would Bet Ax this amount.

Yeah, that's what I think gave away my bluff here, I would not bet this amount to get value from his Ax. Maybe I should bet big for value and small as a bluff in this case as he is going to be inclined to call a big bet and fold vs a small one :) .
