Opponent is an unknown midstack, so I have difficulty putting him on an exact range. I think, however, that against his stack, a push on the flop may have been better. I doubt, however, that he is minraising a queen in that spot too often. I beat pure bluffs and semi-bluffs only most of the time. Folding seems weak but calling only puts me into a somewhat tough spot. Calling the flop and folding the turn is not something I like either. So what do I do?

      Hi,

      I disagree that thought:

      - fishes would very often min-raise also their top pair hands to see where they are at.

Aces are too strong to fold against midstack and besides QJ or 44 you´re likely ahead anyway.

I think 3-betting flop to 6$ to then put him all-in any turn or b/c flop to c/rai any turn besides Qx are my best options.

      best regards,

I suppose that the fact that he is not fullstacked does speak in favor of him being rather possibly fishy? Because other than that I would not quite think that the majority of unknowns on NL25 are playing their Qx hands like that. The reg : fish ratio is too extreme for such an assumption imo.

So just to be clear – since villain is not fullstacked we can make a somewhat safe assumption that quite often he is a fish, and thus your thought process applies?

basically yes and that he limped first hand- I don´t know any reason why should any good player buy-in 50bb and then flat UTG raise with QJ, so even if you think he is not bluffing, there are too few hands in his min-raise range (which beat your AA) that you should not either 3-bet flop or get all-in that turn card.
