the guy was 3betting a lot so i decided to call with position. i know i played the hand badly because i felt a little lost from the turn but then he was playing it like a big pair postflop so i wasn't tooooo scared of the board. what should i have done differently?

      I think it's ok.

I personally like the size of the flop 3-bet , because making it 3x his bet might scare him off (Maybe I would put him on A7x or something there). Also the size is right to be able to shove on the turn.

You shoved on the turn, and got it in before the river and that's ok.

I'm persuming you lost and the 7 on the river messed it up?

no actually he turned over AA which at first surprised me but then given his 3bet AND cbet as well as him taking no time to think before cbetting it makes sense. just he seemed a little maniacal so i was bricking it on the turn lol

Indeed, well no matter what the outcome, if your play is ok, it's ok

      Hello DrDunne,

Seems to be fine, I wouldn't play it much differently. Nice hand!

      Best Regards.
