      This is the first time I have posted in the hand evaluation form, so please let me know if I am doing anything incorrectly. I will begin by explaining this hand in my thoughts.

      Raise in btn, and the get raised by big blind. He is playing 23/18 with 9% 3bet.

      Basically from his betting patterns I deduced that he was on an overpair. What my main question is can we only put villain on the aces or will this play work out plus EV in the long run.

      Hello nineshine,

      Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

      Preflop: Fold the hand? :) Don't see any good reason to Call here even though we have 3bet stat here but no overall play-style. Your hand is dominated by AQ/AK.

      As played
      Postflop: Not a huge fan of playing for the stacks here cause I assume his Check/Raising range is very strong here:

      Board: 8:diamond: 4:diamond: 4:spade:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    30.45%  30.44%   0.02% { KdQd }
      UTG+1  69.55%  69.53%   0.02% { KK+ }

      Best Regards.
