      This guy is a total donkey, shows up once in a while, throws away some money and then vanishes. How would you play the hand? My intention was to check the flop and call the turn because he will probably bet his whole range. What should I do on this river?

      Hello BadeaCelRau,

      Why would you want to turn your hand into bluff-catcher. Rather Bet yourself on the flop to avoid exactly such a spots, you don't beat much on the river while the Q completes a lot of his range.

      Don't try to overplay a fishy player with just Ace high hands, you could wait few hands and then might hit TP and could catch him.

      Best Regards.

      Cbet, followed by check behind on the turn makes fish bet like 90% of the times. I don't know if they adapted through evolution or it's just an instict telling them to autobet once people cbet and then check. And if I call some of the times with A high it's pretty much the same thing and sometimes they even value bet very weak pairs for no reason at all. Besides I consider this guy a donk who pushes buttons, for all I know he might check-raise me as semibluff or bluff on such relatively low board. I'm testing different lines to see what happens :/

      Well, it doesn't make sense to Call the pot size bet either then while at least you could decide whatsoever bet pick yourself vs his stack. Most likely I would assume that those shorties wont bluff the river nor I don't see them Check/Raising you very often. AF is also just 1,8.

      While you could easily yourself just avoid him making such stabs on you, could bet the flop like $2 and then 2nd barrel a lot of turn cards even for free showdown if we assume his range being wide. Vs 44% range:

      Board: T:club: 4:heart: 9:diamond:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    50.56%  49.08%   1.48% { JJ-22, AQs-A2s, K2s+, Q4s+, J6s+, T6s+, 97s+, 87s, AQo-A2o, K6o+, Q8o+, J8o+, T8o+, 98o }
      UTG+1  49.44%  47.96%   1.48% { AhJc }

      according to that the CB for us is even profitable and in long run should even be successful.
