im by no means an awesome player but here is my 2c...

preflop; standard but raise it bigger for the limper - 4bb+1bb per limper

flop; bet it bigger you need to protect against the straight draw. bet around 35c

turn; i would probably play it the same. thinking about it, if we raise the turn he will only really continue with straights and full house. he might continue with some 8x but i wouldn't assume 8x is in his preflop calling range.

river; check behind is ok because again no weaker hand is calling us so we turn our hand into a bluff if we bet - we don't want a call.

but if you post hands you should do it in the hand evaluation forum (not sure if that is where you meant to post it) and you should also convert the hand so it is easier to read - here is the link to the hand converter

DrDunne, he didn't bet the flop. Villain donk bet the flop and he called.

I think you lost the minimum in the hand. You could've raised the flop, though it wouldn't make any difference, the villain probably wouldn't have folded there. There are a couple of hands that you might be worried about. T7, J9, J8, 88, 99 and maaaybe JJ. QT is less likely as you hold 2 of Qs. Hands that he might have had that you beat on the flop are AJ, AT... I don't know, there aren't many hands that you can beat that would call and donk bet the flop.

So I think you did good. And losing the minimum with QQ is not such a bad thing when it happens.

I will be following this thread if someone else has an opinion and wants to share.

o misread it. maybe raising the donkbet for value+protection could be argued but doubt we get value from many weaker hands. its probably best to carry on as it was played.

Yeah, I agree. It actually depends on who the villain is, but since this is not a good flop then it's probably the best just calling.

      Hello chs1302,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

Try converting hands cause your style is pretty difficult to read, for more help take a look here: link or just use the weaktight.com converter which I used.

Add to full stack if you playing BSS, or what kind of strategy you playing?

Preflop: While there is one limper you have to raise it to €0,25.
Postflop: Raise the flop and protect your hand and get it in with your stack. No point to slowplay.

      Best Regards.

Thanks veriz! Something new to learn every day here! :)

After I read your evaluation, I was a bit struck with the part of even getting it all in, so I went to EquiLab to see what is going on there with villain's different ranges and you are so right. :f_biggrin: Sorry for doubting you for a moment there!
