wow, sick fold. on the first view we have a tight villain with 0% 3bet so far. its only 55 hands so we can guess but it gives a lil reference point. i mean u obviously folded because u thought villain has 88 or jj. these hands are probably in his range for sure. but, why the hell would he raise the nuts on the flop??? would u raise 88 or jj if u were villain? if yes against what range? if he ever shows 88 or jj at the showdown make a note, because it is never ever profitable here to raise the nuts on that dry flop.

i mean u easily cbet aq and ak here cuz that board is super dry. the only draw here is 9t. i never see 88 or jj in his range. i call the flop and let him bet the turn. u even got position. just tell me what u think about his range.

I think he's raising 88 and JJ in this spot because there's a big fish in the pot. So after the fish calls my cbet SB wants to get value from him and I think CO easilly can call here with all trashy hands. But yeah.. Makes no sense to me to raise here almost nuts.. Because he can just call and keep fish and me in the pot. But on the other hand he wants to get iniative and bet turn himself because he's out of position and I and CO could check back the turn. Meh.. Maybe i'm just nit. Freakin nit :D

      Hello qMantas,

Well, then again I'd ask why should he raise draws here? With draws I would assume he tries to keep the fish in the pot. :D Would rather assume that he is doing it for value mainly unless he really wants to turn Jx hands in to bluff or assuming that you fold it there.

Nor I wouldn't exclude sets which are better but it doesn't mean that I'd be able to fold it here. But if you really felt being rather behind here then I wouldn't even say that it's a bad fold or anything cause his sizing also is towards like "please call me" than for fold equity.

What do you think he is Check/Raising here then? Bluffing doesn't make sense vs loose guy and with that size.

      Best Regards.
