8 :spade: is the worst possible turn card here (Aside from T :spade: , it's ok to pretty much check and let go of the hand to any bet right?

Maybe a bigger protection bet on the flop, but is MP King kicker even worth protecting is the main thing I'm asking, especially on such a live board?

Villian can easily have fd or Tx so it is worth betting bigger for protection on the flop.

The turn is horrible as it completes every draw so checking down is fine imo.

No worse hands are calling on the river (unless he's really bad) so no value in betting.

Btw do you open all btns 4bb?

Yeah I usually open for 4bb on button, and most other positions. Is this a bad thing?

depends on how many hands are you opening. :f_biggrin:

in general the looser your range the less bb you want to open

      Hello metza,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

Preflop: It's not bad to open 4bb but when you having a loose range I'd go for smaller ones, 3bb is even enough.
Postflop: CB the flop bigger than show weakness with your hand but otherwise not much to comment, couple of draws got there on the turn and you don't get value from much.

      Best Regards.
