      Hello!

      Today I got this message

Problem is, that I can't even login into software. Message appears and even if I "check for a solution" the client just closes.

I re-installed ipoker software, updated windows and it's still there. I played 18h ago and wasn't changing anything on my comp.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix it?

      I would be most grateful.

Anti virus (maybe even firewall too) automatically blocks a few applications of the total ipoker program. Check that

      Are you running as administrator?

iPoker tech support may have knowledge of this problem, too.

email their tech support to see what they have to say.
I have support@poker770.co.uk however there may be different addresses for different countries.

I first contacted support, unfortunately their advice didn't work (I'm posting it since it may help somebody else):

After looking deeper into this situation, we advise you carrying out the following actions:

      1. Open Internet Explorer; go to Tools -> Internet Options.
      2. Choose the Security tab and first click on Internet and then on
      Custom Level.
      3. From the Custom Level button the Security Settings will open up.
From there please reset the custom settings to Medium by choosing
from the "Reset to:" menu Medium and clicking on Reset button.
      4. Click Yes on the warning message.
      5. Please click OK.

After that, please restart Internet Explorer and also restart the casino client and try again.

The inconvenience might also be about that script debugging might be enabled. For disabling script debugging, you need to do the following changes:

      1. Open Internet Explorer, go to tools-> Internet options, select the advanced tab; from under Browsing tick both Disable Script Debugging
(Internet Explorer) and Disable Script Debugging (Other)... then press
      OK
      2. After that restart Internet Explorer
      3. And also restart the casino client
      4. and then try again

      @zerodegrees...
I haven't changed anything so I doubt it. I have AVG, do you have any idea which setting to change?

      @VorpalF2F...
Tried running it as administrator but didn't work.

So I'm still out of the game :f_mad:

No setting, look for 'alerts', 'events' log, right click antivirus firewall and see what's there.

not sure if if helps, but you never know.

Support sent me possible solution but unfortunately it didn't work.

I made few more screen shots if some computer expert could help me...

My last option would be formatting comp but I would really like to see it as my last last option. :f_confused:

The screen shots don't help me, unfortunately -- other than to confirm that it is the poker client that is crashing.

What were the other suggestions that Poker770 support provided?

To eliminate the anti-virus aspect, turn AVG off completely.
In the version of AVG that I have it is under advanced options.

I'm at work now, so I can't tell you exactly where.

That way, anti-virus and firewall are both eliminated.

Have you checked for sufficient free disk space?
      Are you running as administrator?
Have you checked the event log for any OTHER problems that may be occurring?

Sorry if I asked these before -- just ignore if I did.

For Google Chrome, the steps you need to follow are:

      1) Click the wrench icon wrench icon on the upper right side of the browser toolbar.
      2) Select Tools.
      3) Select Clear browsing data.
      4) In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
      5) Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
      6) Click Clear browsing data.
      7) Restart your computer
      8) Click the wrench icon wrench icon on the upper right side of the browser toolbar.
      9) Select Settings.
      10)Click Show advanced settings.
11)In the "Network" section, click Change proxy settings. This will open the Internet Properties dialog.
      12)Click LAN settings .
14)Deselect the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox.
      15) Redownload and reinstall the poker client.

Done that - temporarily disable avg protection.
Firewall - I'm using windows firewall. This combo also didn't work.

Even though Chrome might be your default browser, you should clear the cache for IE too -- since several processes use it in the backgroung.

      Also, delete your temp files.
There location varies by operating system, but you can find where they are by typing:
      set t

      at a command prompt.
The output will look similar to:
      P:\>set t
      TEMP=C:\DOCUME~1\[username~1]\LOCALS~1\Temp
      TMP=C:\DOCUME~1\[username~1]\LOCALS~1\Temp

If you're paranoid, you can create a separate folder somewhere and move the contents to the new folder.

Forgot to mention I already did clear cashe for IE:

      1) Close the poker client if it is running.
      2) Uninstall it.
      3) Delete all temporary internet files. In order to do that, you must open Internet Explorer and go to Tools --> Internet options --> Delete files (including offline content).
      4) Restart your computer.
      5) Disable the use of proxy servers. In order to do that, you must open Internet Explorer and go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings and disable 'Use proxy server for your Lan'.
      6) Redownload and reinstall the poker client.

edit... I think I found it. Is it app data/local/temp? So just physically deleting content of this folder is not enough? I still have to do what you wrote?

If you are vista / W7 that's it.

You don't have to copy the contents, but if you do you will be able to get back anything.

Applications are supposed to withstand the deletion of their temp files, but they don't always do what they are supposed to do.

btw, I just checked my temp folder, and when poker 770 runs, files of the pattern:
      ptdownload00001804.tmp
      are created.

      I have several of them.

      Good luck...
