      Hero (CO): $4.48 - VPIP: 22, PFR: 18, 3B: 6, AF: 2.4, Hands: 5477

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero is CO with J:club: T:diamond:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, 2 folds, BB calls $0.08

      Flop: ($0.26) Q:diamond: Q:heart: J:diamond: (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($0.26) 7:spade: (2 players)

      River: ($0.34) 5:heart: (2 players)
BB bets $0.04, Hero raises to $0.08, BB calls $0.04

im experimenting with thin value on the river a lot and it seems to be going really well. i often find people call with complete garbage whenever i bet ~1/3rd pot or even 1/4. i only do it when i really see myself as ahead given how the hand played. is it okay to even minraise like this here?

I don't really like the way you played your hand:
first of all, why don't you cbet? Board is perfect for cbetting, you have a good hand and he probably has never a queen, is calling range is wide, but here you're losing only against AJ KJ (since QJ is not probable). Then he is aggro se he's probably raising a lot of cbets on paired boards, so you're both cbetting 4value (since you get paid by worst) and you give him the opportunity to bluff while you are IP.

His gay bet on the turn means he has nothing, he is bluffing 90% of the times, same at the river, so if you raise you can't take any value since he fold. Ok, you're miniraising a minbet so that's pretty nosense, but if you think he is gonna call with garbage it's ok.

Anyway, imho, you're losing tons of value while not cbetting that board. You won a really small pot, while you can cbet flop, check behind turn for potcontrol (since board is dry) and then bluffcatch on the river.

      Hello DrDunne,

CBet the flop and protect your hand rather than at some point turn it even into bluff. We need to protect there than slowplay. :)

      Best Regards.
