This my sound ridiculous but when I see me over +EV I think I'm playing bad for example if I'm under ev I can just say ow I'm just getting unlucky but playing great, if I'm over I'm thinking i must be getting so lucky...

Currently I'm up 11 Buyins however my EV shows im just beating it for 9 Buyins, Can I assume I'm still playing well enough to be beating the Limit?

      Hi Xeon123,

I have moved this to Beginners Questions for you, it should get an appropriate answer there. :)

      Regards,

      Mal.

Why do you even bother about it? Just play your A game and don't bother about EV line.

All-in EV line is not your true EV and really means very little.

Your all-in EV can be 10 buyins up while your true EV is 10 buyins down. If it is tilting you, just ignore it or switch it off.

Its only 2 BIs different. You are one bad beat away from winnings=EV so I wouldnt worry about it to much.

Also being under EV does not mean you are playing great and being over EV does not mean you are playing badly. The cards you are getting also play a part. If tyou get AA everyhand and get all in preflop and win - you will be running above EV.

Running over EV does not mean you are playing badly and running under EV does not mean you are playing well. EV differential is just a measure of one sort of "luck" i.e. how well you all in EV situations worked out. Again, it has no relevance to how well or otherwise you are playing.
