      Hi,

      Half pot bet on the flop is fine. You can bet 3.5$ with nuts, since very likely he has there often pair+draw type hand. Since any Qx would call your river bet I would bet 12$ on the river. Doubt he would find there fold that often and he likely does not have too many Jx hand that might call 7$ bet.

      best regards,

      if he shoves on top, are we calling it off?

      actually i was more concerned about getting the maximum from 99/TT/Qx.

      I don´t see any reason why he should shove on the flop. If he raises I would only call, since then I´m likely against better Jx or bluff.
      overbetting river would get you maximum value out of weaker boats

      i mean the river.

      think i just can't fold it since he can always have TT-?

      Hello Tomaloc,

      Flop: I'd still Bet it a bit bigger cause we are also deep and we want to get some value from his hands. If he doesn't have a hand he wont pay us much anyways.
      Turn: Same goes for turn, still Bet it bigger. :P
      River: I would most likely end up just shoving cause Qx hands could even Call us and of course worse FH are also possible:

      Board: J:club: 9:diamond: J:spade:  T:club:  K:spade:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    37.50%  37.50%   0.00% { KK-QQ, TT-99, KJs, KJo }
      UTG+1  62.50%  62.50%   0.00% { JhTh }

      we still get the equity.

      Best Regards.

      actual outcome was that i shoved and self-owned vs KK. :f_biggrin:
      still yeah, i wanted something more like that range analysis. at first i thought i had overplayed, then later i passed it off as standard and now i'm not sure anymore...

      i disagree with that in that i think he's good enough to fold QQ to a shove.
      so we'd get..

      Board: J:club: 9:diamond: J:spade:  T:club:  K:spade:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    60.00%  60.00%   0.00% { KK, TT-99, KJs, KJo }
      UTG+1  40.00%  40.00%   0.00% { JhTh }

      but i'd also then give him credit for folding KJ preflop (which goes against what i said on op but yeah, i take it back that he has KJ in his range, i was still shocked). then it gets better

      Board: J:club: 9:diamond: J:spade:  T:club:  K:spade:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    42.86%  42.86%   0.00% { KK, TT-99 }
      UTG+1  57.14%  57.14%   0.00% { JhTh }

      and this is probably giving too much credit, but i really thought that he could fold 99 there. so

      Board: J:club: 9:diamond: J:spade:  T:club:  K:spade:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    75.00%  75.00%   0.00% { KK, TT }
      UTG+1  25.00%  25.00%   0.00% { JhTh }

      guess calling range #2 is most realistic which makes the shove fine?
      or maybe this is all wrong since he doesn't really seem like the most positionally aware guy ever, even for the small sample.

      Well, I'd still include also KJs into his range which he could flat, then it's pretty much 50/50 case. Which means that vs those assumptions that you don't think he is calling with Qx hands then it should be a standard Bet/Fold spot cause I doubt that such a guy would ever raise there with weaker FH. Nor we haven't invested that much into the pot.
