      iPoker - $0.02 NL - Holdem - 7 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      Hero (MP): $3.14
      CO: $2.36
      BTN: $2.00
      SB: $2.00
      BB: $2.00
      UTG: $4.38
      UTG+1: $2.05

SB posts SB $0.01, BB posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has 4:diamond: 4:heart:

UTG calls $0.02, fold, Hero calls $0.02, CO calls $0.02, fold, fold, BB checks

      Flop: ($0.09, 4 players) 5:club: 4:club: A:heart:
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.06, CO calls $0.06, fold, fold

      Turn: ($0.21, 2 players) 8:spade:
Hero bets $0.15, CO calls $0.15

      River: ($0.51, 2 players) 8:heart:
Hero checks, CO bets $0.50, Hero raises to $1.50, CO raises to $2.13, Hero calls $0.63

      My thoughts:

      - I suppose limping behind with 44 in MP is questionable? I keep thinking that I can limp and then call a raise with a pocket pair, whereas if I raise and get reraised, I have to fold and don't get to see the flop. I suppose this is very transparent and I should be thinking about this differently?

      - On the river I thought a check/reraise would be a nice way to go. I thought I was more than likely way ahead and a check might get him to put some money in if he had anything at all and he was likely to fold to any bet if he didn't have anything anyways.

      Hello jules97,

Preflop: Limping in is still fine with those hands.
Flop: Bet it bigger, we need to protect.
      Turn: Bet also bigger. :)
River: If you even go for Check/Raise then at least Check/Shove and don't leave couple of cents behind.

      Best Regards.

      Thanks Veriz,

The raises on the flop and turn to protect in this case should be pot size?

      Cheers

Yes, it should be much better, sometimes it might be even over-bet.
