I don't know how many of you actually read the news, as there's no counter and hardly ever any comment. :( But for those few who actually do read them using Firefox, you might have come across this as well.

In news with card icons for displaying hands (like this one), or also in some Strategy articles, it happens that an Ace of Diamonds is supposed to be shown, but you can't see it. It happened to me, and it happened to some other guy, which is the reason why I make this thread.

The reason for this is quite simple. You probably have the Adblock Plus add-on installed. It's a pretty nifty one I agree, but at times it is a bit overzealous. The reason you don't see the Ace of Diamonds is its filename here on PokerStrategy. The powers that be named it "Ad4.png" and "Ad.jpg".

Adblock Plus... Ad4.png... Ad.jpg... nuff said, right?

So what to do? Disable Adblock for all of PokerStrategy? Get rid of it for good? Nope, there's a simple solution: The Whitelist.

It's not very well documented, and I had to google for it myself, but here's the solution. Simply add this as a new filter:

      @@http://www.pokerstrategy.com/download/content/artikel_daten/kartenset/ad.jpg

The two @@ in front add a link to the whitelist, so that it is no longer blocked. It works for anything Adblock blocks but shouldn't.

So, just add this and you will be able to see the lovely and again when browsing PokerStrategy with Firefox. :)
