      Preflop: Hero is BTN with T Q
      CO folds, Hero raises to $0.62, SB folds, BB calls $0.37

      Flop: ($1.34) 4 Q 9 (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB calls $1

      Turn: ($3.34) 5 (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB calls $3

      River: ($9.34) 2 (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero bets $3.25, BB raises to $13.97, Hero raises to $20.38 and is all-in, BB calls $0.42 and is all-in

      Villain just sat down with random stack --> fish.

      Bet the river small in order to induce some spew while still get some value from his weaker holdings.

      Hello DeMarcohsp,

      Don't really like it, if you Bet the river then at least Bet it normally. Why would you induce vs a unknown who you don't even know if he is capable of bluffing or not. Such a small bet rather from your view is Bet for thin value and fold to further action.

      Well I think that is what you can expect from a random guy sitting there with a busted fd/sd and seeing a weak bet.

      Do you find this to be false?

      Nope, it's not false but I would pick rather straight forward play and bet for value normally like $5. :D With strong hand we could consider doing that but not with mediocre one.
