      CO 19/12/1.5/1.1/34/488hands

can I get away vs his stack size? Seems like his range consists mostly of sets, since he is on the tighter side i doubt theres many pair + draw hands.
But if he can shove QQ, JJ maybe 88 as well as sets, I have 54%.
If i get really optimistic & add QJ to his range im 57%, but i think thats a stretch

      BTN: $100.58 (201.2 bb)
      Hero (SB): $51.50 (103 bb)
      BB: $47.32 (94.6 bb)
      UTG: $57.62 (115.2 bb)
      MP: $92.58 (185.2 bb)
      CO: $34.46 (68.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K K
2 folds, CO raises to $1.50, BTN folds, Hero raises to $5.50, BB folds, CO calls $4

      Flop: ($11.50) 7 9 T (2 players)
Hero bets $7.50, CO raises to $15, Hero raises to $46 and is all-in, CO calls $13.96 and is all-in

      Turn: ($69.42) 8 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
      River: ($69.42) 5 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

      $69.42 pot ($2.50 rake)
      Final Board: 7 9 T 8 5
Hero showed K K and lost (-$34.46 net)
      CO showed 9 9 and won $66.92 ($32.46 net)

      Hey dannywratten,

tbh, I think you're just putting arguments to justify your -EV play.. I'm doing it quite often myself :) )

You can't assume he's raising JJ-QQ this way like ever, esp on this strong sizing. You will never ever cbet like this AK,AQ ... Obv, I see the reason behind this, you're correctly preparing stacks for shove ott, however, do you think that he's calling an almost pot size bet (shove) ott with JJ,QQ,88 on a blank? :)

It depends on your reads (500 hands is quite good sample size you should have some notes etc..) ... Sometimes I'd rather go for 3 barrel with lower sizing. Creative sizings are very important and people usually don't play very well against them... ;)

Feel free to ignore anyone saying you should bet small or can get away.
Now you bet 2/3 of the pot which is pretty small still. I'd make it 8.50 at least.

Do you really wonder if you should not go broke with an overpair in a 3bet pot against a fish with less than 70bb? Seems like you are just bummed out cause you lost...try to seperate judging your good play by the outcome of the hand. If you wanted confirmation that you cannot get away, well you have it.

      Hello dannywratten,

Pretty standard play, I am not getting away here and the sizing wouldn't change anything either. Bet/Bet/Bet is the line and the size wont change much. If he has a hand he is willing to go broke or has any kind of hand which has equity he is going to Call.

      Best Regards.
