Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      Hero (SB): $2.06 (103 bb)
      BB: $2.62 (131 bb)
      UTG: $1.52 (76 bb)
      MP: $2.04 (102 bb) 23/15/4.0/22.2/41/71
      CO: $2.63 (131.5 bb)
      BTN: $5.72 (286 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K A
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.06, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.22, BB folds, MP calls $0.16

      Flop: ($0.46) 9 2 A (2 players)
Hero bets $0.30, MP raises to $1.82 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.52

When he calls a 3-Bet pre-flop and raises flop I actually expected him witk AK too or a flush draw. I thought 22 and 99 wouldn't call a 3-Bet pre-flop and hardly any 2 pair combos would make sense.

      Turn: ($4.10) Q (2 players, 1 is all-in)
      River: ($4.10) 3 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

As stated in your other thread: MP is not a maniac so I'd definitely put him on a strong hand on the flop and would fold here.

What do you think he can have here?

      Two pair or trips.

I would put sets in his range but not two pairs cause I don't see a lot of A9,A2 or 92 hands calling a 3-Bet pre-flop especially by a 23/15 guy.

But I'm losing against sets, AK and top flush draw range too so bad call.

How often is he folding to 3bets?

His wtsd and aggression is on the high side so imo he's got AQ/AJ here too. So it is close... In game I'd call as there are more combos of weaker Ax and Axdd than 22/99. AA is probably 4betting here so we can discount that.

You describe him as not being mental, so you have to say that his range for shoving is likely to be for value. i would suggest that a large part of this is going to be AdXd in other words top pair and flush draw. You are probably ahead on the flop, and would have 54% equity vs a pair/FD combo, however if u had sets and 2 pair combo's along with AQ/AJ (which i think is unlikely) then you drop to 46% equity and he has 54%.

Given that you have to call $1.52 into a pot of $2.60 you are getting the odds to call.

      Hello maheepsangari,

It's a 3bet pot, if he went for set-mining then obviously he did play wrong. While he also has enough of those Ax hands in his range, maybe even AJ or whatsoever we are Bet/Broke here.

      Best Regards.
