I raised the 88 but overally this is a bit drawy oop. I think that 0,10 is more or less like minbet. So I decided to call to see if he does something fancy on the turn. I wanted to call as long asthe draws won´t finish and he will bet very tiny.

      How would you play it?

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

      MP3: $5.62 (112.4 bb) 44/0 - after 16 hands
      CO: $9.30 (186 bb)
      BTN: $5 (100 bb)
      SB: $2.64 (52.8 bb)
      Hero (BB): $2 (40 bb)
      UTG+2: $5 (100 bb)
      MP1: $5.58 (111.6 bb)
      MP2: $5.77 (115.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 8
      3 folds, MP3 calls $0.05, 3 folds, Hero raises to $0.25, MP3 calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.52) J 7 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

      Turn: ($0.72) K (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP3 checks

      River: ($0.72) Q (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP3 checks

      $0.72 pot ($0.03 rake)
      Final Board: J 7 6 K Q
      MP3 mucked 4 5 and lost (-$0.35 net)
      Hero showed 8 8 and won $0.69 ($0.34 net)

Do you know if villain likes to call preflop & continues to be a callingstation later on? If so then it does not make much sense to raise with 88 because all you are doing is mostly bluffing & hope he folds.

Checking preflop is not a big crime as you can still bluff the Flop for example. I like to raise broadway cards more because they still have more outs when we miss the Flop

      Best regards,
