      Hi Gerv,

In this spot I´ve encountered Cbet raise. This board isn´t 100% Cbet friendly but with my pair, I ofc don´t want to give him any free cards. When he raises, i´m not sure whether it is more profitable to simply shove or rather save some money and fold here.

There could be a few hands that he would raise only to protect draw. But I´m not sure if it still pays off with second kicker.

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

      UTG+2: $12.89 (257.8 bb)
      MP1: $8.29 (165.8 bb)
      MP2: $6.57 (131.4 bb)
      MP3: $5 (100 bb)
      Hero (CO): $2 (40 bb)
      BTN: $13.13 (262.6 bb) 22/11 after 18 hands
      SB: $7.86 (157.2 bb)
      BB: $15.37 (307.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q K
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, BTN calls $0.20, 2 folds

      Flop: ($0.47) 4 K J (2 players)
Hero bets $0.29, BTN raises to $0.70, Hero folds

      Results:
      $1.05 pot ($0.04 rake)
      Final Board: 4 K J
Hero mucked Q K and lost (-$0.49 net)
BTN mucked and won $1.01 ($0.52 net)

      Hey,

Generally I either cbet/call and check/shove the Turn if he is bluffy and keeps on bluffing. Or when I think he can call me with significant worse (that is anything worse besides him having KJ & 44) then I cbet/shove

I think ranges are wider here since it is CO vs BTn so I cBet/shove or cbet/call here as explained above

      Best regards,
      Gerv
