Prima, $0.20/$0.40 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      BB: $58.54 (146.4 bb)
      UTG: $33.82 (84.6 bb)
      Hero (MP): $40 (100 bb)
      CO: $117 (292.5 bb)
      BTN: $9.45 (23.6 bb)
      SB: $12.64 (31.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J Q
UTG folds, Hero raises to $1.20, 3 folds, BB calls $0.80

      Flop: ($2.60) 9 8 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.60, BB calls $1.60

      Turn: ($5.80) J (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero checks

      River: ($5.80) 2 (2 players)
      BB bets $4, Hero folds

      $5.80 pot ($0.29 rake)
      Final Board: 9 8 7 J 2
BB mucked and won $5.51 ($2.71 net)
Hero mucked J Q and lost (-$2.80 net)

      Villain is TAG reg.

After villain doesn't x/r this board and just calls I think I have to discount hands like sets, 98s,78s,JTs and expect him to have mostly some fd's and pair + draw type hands which in this case would be 9Ts,TT.

I don't think his river bet is going to be often a bluff because I can check back a lot of showdown value hands like 2p which he should not expect me to fold.

      Hello DeMarcohsp,

If we are going for a Check on the turn then there is not much to comment. We are planning mainly to give up to further action. But instead of doing that I might even just go for 2nd barrel and protect my hand and do it for free showdown.

What's the reason for CBetting in first place on such a board if you don't plan to 2nd barrel in those spots where you hit? It's one of those boards where you will get a lot of action while it's too much connected.

      Best Regards.

Would you check this flop behind veriz?

Whilst not even having any BDFD then yes, I would most likely consider doing that instead while I assume we don't have that much fold equity. Cause it's also difficult to say what kind of range he calls on the BB, TAG doesn't really tell much about it. With some specific wide range we could even consider CBetting but on such a draw-heavy board we can very often expect to see floats.
