      Hey there Midstackers!

How would you play the river?

The flop came great, Turn made a lots of draws possible, but I don´t mind that too much. However, the river came the worst it could because I think that now when only a T is needed to actually hold a straight, flush is on the board... I just decided to take advantage my position and i checked behind.

Now, I´m also interested how would you play if you were OUT of position. Would you bet the river or check called, fold or whatever? I personally would play check fold if OOP because CALL/CALL/CALL/BET is one of the strongest lines I know.

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 7 Players

      Hero (MP1): $2.07 (41.4 bb)
      MP2: $3.64 (72.8 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q Q
Hero raises to $0.20, 5 folds, BB calls $0.15

      Flop: ($0.42) 6 9 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.23, BB calls $0.23

      Turn: ($0.88) 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.61, BB calls $0.61

      River: ($2.10) 8 (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero checks

      Results:
      $2.10 pot ($0.09 rake)
      Final Board: 6 9 6 7 8
      BB showed T Q and won $2.01 ($0.97 net)

      Hey,

nh imo. You get value from PP and 9x on flop & turn, sometimes he's on a flush draw. There's nothing worse that could call you on river, since board is so ugly.

Oop I would play check/fold R. I don't think people would bluff this river on our limits. It's mostly for value.

      Hey AyuraoA,

I think I check back as well because I do not think a lot of worse hands are going to call the River. Maybe if you bet like 1/3rd but then you are making yourself vulnerable for bluff check/raises

If I were OOP I would check/fold the River expecting 2pairs to check back a fair amount of time so you do not really get bluffed out as often as you think

      Best regards,
      Gerv
