Villain over 60hand sample plays 57/30 and opens super wide from CO and BTN, fold to cbet 44% (4/9), fold to 3bet 25% (1/4), 4bet 0%

      CO ($41.93) 84bb
      BTN ($68.11) 136bb
      hero (SB) ($49.50) 99bb
      BB ($48.11) 96bb

      Pre-Flop: ($0.75, 6 players) hero is SB K:spade: Q:heart:
2 folds, CO raises to $1.50, 1 fold, hero raises to $5, 1 fold, CO calls $3.50

      Flop: A:heart: 10:diamond: 2:heart: ($10.50, 2 players)
hero bets $6, CO calls $6

      Turn: 2:spade: ($22.50, 2 players)
      hero checks

      River: 8:heart: ($22.50, 2 players)
hero checks, CO bets $22.50, hero folds

Preflop I think 3betting is the only way to go.

On the flop I give him super wide range QQ-66,AQs-A2s,K5s+,QTs+,J9s+,T9s,98s,87s,76s,65s,AQo-A4o,KJo+,QTo+,JTo,T9o which is around 23% and I equilated that he has TP+ 45% of the time, and FD's, gutshots,2nd pairs, Tx or worse pairs 40%.

Should I rather just give up on the flop, as the strong part of his range is wider then the weak one?

      Hello jachis,

Unfortunately it's not the best flop for us, he will have a lot of those broadway type of hands which continue on such a flop. Therefore instead of CBetting Check/Fold right on the flop.

What's the purpose of the 3bet? As bluff? For value?

      Best Regards.

Well given the fact that villain is so loose and doesnt like to fold to 3bets its an easy 3bet for value imho.
