Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      MP: $12.77 (255.4 bb) 22/15/2.4/6.8/33/190
      Hero (CO): $6.63 (132.6 bb) 33/27/3.0/12.5/50/46
      BTN: $4.51 (90.2 bb)
      SB: $8.06 (161.2 bb) 31/27/0.2/5.6/43/46
      BB: $6.06 (121.2 bb)
      UTG: $5 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J J
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.14, Hero calls $0.14, BTN folds, SB calls $0.12, BB folds

      Flop: ($0.47) 5 8 T (3 players)
SB checks, MP bets $0.32, Hero calls $0.32, SB calls $0.32

      Turn: ($1.43) A (3 players)
SB checks, MP checks, Hero checks

Should I take a stab on the turn and use my position and bet? Ace is a decent scare card and if someone had it I'd expect them to have bet now.

      River: ($1.43) 2 (3 players)
SB checks, MP checks, Hero checks

could bet something like $0.50~0.70. get draws and Tx to call, increases your chances of seeing a cheap sd

why are you thinking in terms of "taking a stab" like if you had nothing, obv they're not going to fold an ace but you have a good middle pair :f_biggrin: still enough of worse hands in their range which we can even get value from.

if we check turn we're mostly just folding the river... which is also okay i guess.

      Hello maheepsangari,

Nah, being also in multiway pot most likely going to be safer not to waste too much money there. The pot is still pretty huge and we can't even be sure how thin the value there is. SB could still have the Ace as for example A:hX or whatsoever.

Another option of course is if we assume them being rather loose then Bet/Folding the turn and doing it for protection + free showdown.

      Best Regards.
