For some reason AJ cards always fail me on coin flips. But I wonder, was my move correct or not? Should I have folded to the re-raise or just call it to see the flop? I'm confused. :f_confused:

And again, I just can't fold AJs to an all-in. Just always makes me think that the player is bluffing on such board.

      hey Rihard4a

if you are posting hands could you please post 1 hand per thread :)

also, i suggest reading some of the strategy articles. the reason why is because you are playing without 100bb stacks - some are about 25bb and others are over 50bb. also, you are posting in the hand evaluations for NL cash, but one of your hands is a tourney hand and so it should be in the tournament section.

it is important for your learning to choose a format and stick with it - i.e., you choose to play cash games, or you choose to play tourneys. this is because each format is very different and so it will require you to study lots of different things.

if you are interested in cash game poker, then i highly recommend you look into the NL Beginners Course. i think this would be really good for you and you will learn lots :)

and regarding the hands, in my opinion:

hand1: fold to the raise preflop. once you get raised, you are most likely behind and should fold.

hand2: it is debatable, but in general this is probably considered bad luck and you didn't make too much of a mistake.

hand3: i might be inclined to check the river since it is hard to say what weaker hands will call you (so it isn't reeally a value bet) and if you do get called then you may very often be behind some hand that beats you (so you are kinda turning your hand into a bluff).

hand4: well... AQ beats you, AK beats you, even pocket 22 beats you. doesn't matter if you think he's bluffing, to try and bluff catch is a bad idea. best to wait for a hand and bet big. no way you are ahead in that spot :(

anyway, this is my 2cents - the hand judge will be along at some point and will evaluate your hands for you.

      Lewis.

p.s... if you are playing Big Stack Strategy, then you should adjust the settings for auto-topup. that way, you will always play with $2 at nl2 ($0.01/$0.02 blinds). even after you've folded in the blinds, your stack is always $2. you will soon see why this is important because if you get AA or KK, you want to get paid off as much as possible! :D

      WOW.

Thanks for the reply. I like that in mind! I though posting into one thread would save some forum space and I wouldn't spam much. :D

Gonna get used to fold some high cards when raised.

Thanks again. I have already made a NL Course thread and gonna do my homework once I get time!

      Hello Rihard4a,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

Please keep 1 hand per thread so we can concentrate on one hand. :) I will take one hand and you can re-post them in separate thread.

Add to full stack if you playing BSS. About AJo why do you open 3bb? Why do you open with your stack in first place such hands? Cause you ain't playing BSS and you can't open such hands. :) And afterwards we should be just folding without any specific information. Doubt that you even getting coinflip.

      Best Regards.
