Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is SB with A  K :diamond:
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, BB calls $0.25

      Flop: ($0.70) 4 :spade: 9  2 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.40, BB calls $0.40

      Turn: ($1.50) 9 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.80, BB calls $0.80

      River: ($3.10) Q :spade: (2 players)
      Hero checks, BB checks

Our opponent is almost an unknown so I suppose that both of the bets postflop are fine. But what do you think about their size? Turn could be a bit bigger, I would imagine.

Also, would you not recommend a bet on the river to force all sort of PPs out of the hand? Or am I overestimating my fold equity?

      Hello Avatars91,

Not the best card to 2nd barrel there actually cause it makes our hand look very unlikely to be a made hand and he rarely folds any made hands there. Unless you assume you are doing the 2nd barrel for value.

      Best Regards.

      As played though:

      1) Is my turn bet not a bit too small?
      2) What do you think about betting on the river? Is it completely out of question? I would imagine that villain likely has got a PP and I can see him actually still calling on the river from time to time – the question is how often?

Why would be the turn bet too small? If he calls you then he calls also bigger size.

It's possible and it's not possible, depends a lot how we see the guy, there is no step by step guide how to play in those spots. Some may call, some may fold, some may raise vs your Bet, so difficult to say without any dynamics and rather seeing that the guy is loose = not really.
