      BTN: $4.25 - VPIP: 42, PFR: 20, 3B: 6, AF: 1,0, AFq: 15, FoldToFlopCbet: 59(22), WTS: 28, Hands: 166

      CO: $4.00 - VPIP: 33, PFR: 30, 3B: 22, AF: 4,0, Hands: 46

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is MP with 9  J
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.35, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.35, 2 folds

      Flop: ($0.85) J :club: Q  Q :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.45, BTN calls $0.45

      Turn: ($1.75) 3 :diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.25, Hero folds

I imagine that villain can be calling on the flop with a wide range but since he is so passive I might as well just check the turn since a free showdown is likely and he is probably not going to call another street with a weaker hand + there is not that much to protect against.

      Hello Avatars91,

Well, then doesn't make sense to CB in first place if you plan to just Check/Fold the turn vs such a guy. :D Who could float with very wide range there.

      Best Regards.

Isn't he very passive? Can't we instead of cBetting (there are a few draws out there but not that many, and thus also few worse hands can call) just simply check? We should get a free showdown very often.

As I said already, if to Check anywhere then it's a flop and Check/Call it and reevaluate further actions. But not the turn after we went for value-bet. He definitely is capable of taking stabs there with even weaker hands/draws.
