      Since it is HU, maybe here a stab on the flop with underpair is not that bad? The turn, however, should have been a check/giveup

      Nah, don't like the idea of betting the flop, not the best to do that and whilst you rarely going to know how good actually your pair is there and if you can do it for value. I'd rather Check it and reevaluate the further actions.
