I am totally clueless on how I should play this hand.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      MP1:
      $4.51
      MP2 (Hero):
      $2.23
      MP3:
      $2.00
      CO:
      $0.77
      BU:
      $2.00
      SB:
      $2.27
      BB:
      $2.68
      UTG2:
      $1.18

      Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J, J.
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.08, 2 folds, BU raises to $0.28, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.20.

      Flop: ($0.59) 5, 2, T (2 players)
Hero bets $0.42, BU folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $0.59.

By betting on the flop I only make worse hands fold (overcards) and he is never fold a better hand either. But I'm oop, so check/calling would leave me totally clueless. Should I just fold the hand preflop?

      Hello DarkBlade282,

Correct, if you even calling the 3bet then doesn't really make sense to donk the flop. You are just making worse to fold and better to continue. You don't even allow him to CB with weaker hands. Rather Check and reevaluate further actions.

      Best Regards.
