IPoker, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players
No stats -- too early in session

      BB: $0.89 (44.5 bb)
      UTG+1: $3.95 (197.5 bb)
      UTG+2: $5.03 (251.5 bb)
      MP1: $2 (100 bb)
      MP2: $5.81 (290.5 bb)
      MP3: $1.78 (89 bb)
      CO: $5.24 (262 bb)
      Hero (BTN): $2 (100 bb)
      SB: $1.76 (88 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 Q
4 folds, MP3 calls $0.02, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.10, 2 folds, MP3 raises to $0.18, Hero calls $0.08

      Flop: ($0.39) T Q 5 (2 players)
      MP3 checks, Hero bets $0.29, MP3 raises to $1.60 and is all-in, Hero ???
An obvious fold -- or is it?
Should I have folded to his pre-flop raise?

      I misread his play completely.
I figured he was "just another limper" who then "hit something on the flop" and was going to town with it.

      Hero calls $1.31

      Turn: ($3.59) 9 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
      River: ($3.59) 7 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

      Results: $3.59 pot ($0.23 rake)
      Final Board: T Q 5 9 7
      MP3 showed A A and lost (-$1.78 net)
      Hero mucked 9 Q and won $3.36 ($1.58 net)

I think it's pretty hard to go allin with TP no kicker unless he's pycho.

His less than full stack size and then the limp/min reraise is suspicious. I'm finding that a lot of these (non pycho) fishy players will do this with AA,KK or strong hands. It's hard to fold these hands preflop when the odds are so good, but it's good to be aware your range is usually crushed.

Looks like fairly easy fold on the flop to his huge raise.

      Hello VorpalF2F,

Whenever they pick such a line you will most of the time face a trap. Especially when a guy limp/raises preflop like this it's more often hand like KK/AA, so you actually have an easy fold postflop.

      Best Regards.
