      Hey guys,

so from now one this will be the thread for my coaching reviews where I'll give a short summary of my sessions and post interesting hands.

Usually my coaching is scheduled for Mondays, but b/c of the Euro-Football Champ. is was rescheduled for this Tuesday.

For this session I just decided to upload my session stats, I'm not going to make a screenshot every time but for once, so that the players who are unfamiliar with PT have an idea how it looks like.

So, small samplesize of course and the numbers are just for tendency purposes.
21/15 is a bit loose for FR games, 21 VPIP is ok if you feel good about your postflop-play, but 15 PFR is too high in general for FR games. However, for this particular session it's fine since I played a lot of HU and SH, caused by rather empty tables :) .
These stats are pretty solid for 6max games btw.
One thing that points out here is the really high aggression factor. Compared to HoldemNL, your aggression should decrease a bit since you aren't cbetting as many boards and you won't be the preflop-aggressor in as many situations.
My aggression factor here is caused by that guy I played HU, who played very weak postflop which made me cbet almost 100% of the time of course.
In general, I'd advocate an overall aggression factor of anything between 2 and 4.

Here are a few interesting hands of the session:

      1) Party Poker $25 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 9 players

      SB: $24.50
      BB: $24.87
      UTG: $65.21
      UTG+1: $47.51
      UTG+2: $27.44
      MP1: $20.35
      Hero (MP2): $25.00
      CO: $16.09
      BTN: $20.56

Pre Flop: Hero is MP2 with A :spade: A :club: J :club: T :spade:
      2 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.10, 4 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.85

      Flop: ($2.55) A :diamond: T :club: J :spade: (2 players)
      UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $2.43, UTG+2 raises to $6.50, Hero calls $4.07

      Turn: ($15.55) T :diamond: (2 players)
      UTG+2 bets $14.78, Hero calls $14.78

      River: ($45.11) K  (2 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $2.62 all in, UTG+2 calls $2.62

      Final Pot: $50.35
UTG+2 shows 5c Ah Qh Qd (a straight Ten to Ace)
Hero shows As Ac Jc Ts (a full house, Aces full of Tens)
      Hero wins $47.84
      (Rake: $2.51)

Pretty standard play preflop, aces don't get a lot better :)
His flopplay is interesting, he has two queens so he can rep. the nutstaight pretty easy, but even in that case I just have to get it in here. I just call the flop to get value from his bluffs, he'd probably have folded his hand to a shove on the flop. I thought he pushed AI on the turn so I just called, the rest gets in on the river anyway. His idea on the flop is nice actually, if it was on purpose, but he has to give up on this turn since he'll be drawing dead like all the time.

      2) Party Poker $25 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 2 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

      Hero (SB): $38.27
      BTN/BB: $40.51

Pre Flop: Hero is SB with K :spade: A :spade: K :club: A
      Hero raises to $0.75, BTN/BB calls $0.50

      Flop: ($1.50) 8 :diamond: J :diamond: 4 :spade: (2 players)
      Hero bets $1.43, BTN/BB calls $1.43

      Turn: ($4.36) A :diamond: (2 players)
      Hero bets $4.15, BTN/BB calls $4.15

      River: ($12.66) 3  (2 players)
      Hero bets $6, BTN/BB calls $6

      Final Pot: $24.66
Hero shows Ks As Kc Ah (three of a kind, Aces)
      BTN/BB shows 4d 4c 6c Kd (a flush, Ace high)
      BTN/BB wins $23.66
      (Rake: $1.00)

This was the villain I was talking about earlier on, he played very weak postflop. Flopbet is standard for HU, esp. given a nitty opponent. On the turn I pretty much have no chance but betting out again, so the hand plays itself until the river. I could c/c, c/f, b/c or b/f.
c/c sucks since he only bets if he has it. c/f is very weak for a HU game, b/c is bad because all I have then is a bluff catcher, so I decided to b/f. A half PSB works out for that perfectly, no reason to pot it here. He just calls with the nuts which made me lol but nice hand anyway :) .

      3) Party Poker $25 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 9 players

      UTG+2: $23.83

      SB: $58.61
      BB: $22.65
      UTG: $24.75
      UTG+1: $3.50

Pre Flop: Hero is CO with 5  4 :diamond: 3  A :diamond:
      UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.25, BTN calls $0.25, SB calls $0.15, BB checks

      Flop: ($1.75) 5 :diamond: A  J :diamond: (7 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $1.67, BTN folds, SB folds, BB calls $1.67, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $1.67, MP1 folds

      Turn: ($6.76) 6 :spade: (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $6.43, BB raises to $20.73 all in, UTG+1 calls $1.58 all in, Hero calls $14.30

      River: ($49.80) 5 :club: (3 players - 2 are all in)

      Final Pot: $49.80
Hero shows 5h 4d 3h Ad (a full house, Fives full of Aces)
BB shows Kc Jh Js 6d (a full house, Jacks full of Fives)
UTG+1 mucks Kd Qh Tc 9c (a pair of Fives)
      BB wins $36.38
      BB wins $10.93
      (Rake: $2.49)

This was the most interesting one in the session I think. I limp behind preflop since my hand has excellent multiway potential and I'll have position most of the time. I catch what is basically a dream flop for my hand, everyone checks to me and I bet out, 2 callers. At that point I actually don't put any of them on a set since AA** is unlikely because all the players love to pot it preflop, 55** is unlikely too since there are only two 5s left in the deck and besides all that, I think a set should lead or at least c/r this flop.
This is also an example to show a situation where a set is a big underdog, something Holdem-players are not used to.

      win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
      Ad 4d 5h 3h 328 49.25 338 50.75 0 0.00 0.492
      Js Kc 6d Jh 212 31.83 450 67.57 4 0.60 0.321
      Tc 9c Kd Qh 122 18.32 540 81.08 4 0.60 0.186

On the turn I have even more outs, since I have a wrap now, too.
I'm exactly even in money against the set now, we both have ~42% equity now, the 3rd player has about 16% equity. All in all I think I played the hand well and unfortunately I lose the flip on the turn but thats poker :)

TYVM for Tuesday's coaching although I did find the action a little fast to follow at times. I personally would be pleased if you would be able to make all your hh's available from the coaching session so as to be able to understand(hopefully) your play in some of the more marginal situations as well.

Here is a close spot but I decided against a v-bet on the river since I don't see him calling all the way with bare 2pair, the fd is busted and I'm crushed against holdings like TJAK, so checking here is fine, too.

this hand led to some discussion in the channel so I will shortly explain my play. villain had solid looking preflop stats (18/5). given this, I hardly see him holding a 6 here since it has to be something like AA6* then, I don't think he is the type of player who raises low rundowns from this early position.
If I raise the flop here he'll throw away aces probably most of the time, but since he was very aggressive (4.1/3/3.6 over the streets) I also see him barreling a lot of turns and rivers if I just flatcall.

I just call preflop to keep the pot multiway, repopping is also fine. Against most players I'd lead this flop but I had a read that that villain was aggro and overplaying his big pairs, so I assumed he'd cbet this flop all the time, which maximised my expectation.

I raise it up b/c my hand is too strong to just give a freeplay, esp. in position. Favorite on the flop, flip on the turn, dead on the river, but the only bigger hand I lost that session so thats fine :)

The coaching is now held on PokerStars, which I really appreciate. The unresizeable tables at PartyPoker made it very difficult to follow the action and Stars has more tables available.

The coaching itself was somehow upgraded to gold+ and I try to change it back so that silver members have a chance to follow the coaching again as well.

Unfortunately not too many interesting hands in this first session on Stars, I finished up 1.5 buyins however which is nice.

      Final Pot: $11.65
      Hero wins $11.10
      (Rake: $0.55)

Even this is pretty standard I guess, preflop I'd even call without the overcall since my hand plays very well IP. On the flop I'm allin against the SB since he only has about a PSB left and I expect MP1 to fold here pretty often since there are no real AsXs** hand combinations that I see him playing this way.

I hope I can achieve the change to silver for the coaching next week. GL at the tables :)

Nice idea with this review. First of all, I want to say, sim is a good coach. Sometimes, there are some breaks or sim doesn't get Hands or action. In this situation, it will be great, if he can

-prepare some strategy and talk in this situation about this or
-discuss the play of his opponent and discuss the defect of the strategy of his opponent and in which situations we can use this information ....

Unfortunately I did not manage to switch the coaching down to silver again, I asked for it but seems like there is no way for the coaching to be held for silver members, I'm sorry for that.

MP2's coldcall preflop is nice but his repop is wrong since he commits not enough of his stack but turns his hand face up. My hand runs like 60/40 against aces so I totally have the potodds to outflop them. Nice for me but keep this in mind any time you have aces yourself :)

Due to request I'm posting my session stats for this coaching:

Nice session of course :) Aggression factor is a bit too high but still okay fwiw.

This was the biggest pot of the session, I'm calling first too keep in the player behind me, after the other guy repotts it I'm hoping they both have sets and block each other, which indeed was the case :)
I'm even in equity against top set on the flop btw, so this is a nice but expectable result.

Nice session and the coaching is opened to silver members again which I really appreciate :)

I finished up almost a buyin this session, actual tough spots were rather rare, this was one exception:

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

      BTN: $27.10
      SB: $27.70
      BB: $14.25
      Hero (UTG): $23.00
      MP: $12.90
      CO: $25.85

Pre Flop: Hero is UTG with J :diamond: T  J :spade: K :spade:
Hero raises to $0.85, 1 fold, CO calls $0.85, 1 fold, SB calls $0.75, 1 fold

      Flop: ($2.80) A :diamond: 4  T :diamond: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

      Turn: ($2.80) T :spade: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.50, CO raises to $5, SB folds, Hero calls $2.50

      River: ($12.80) K  (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $5, Hero calls $5

With 6 players this preflop raise is fine however I was giving up the hand on the flop actually against 2 opp. with one behind me.
I turn trips and face a minraise and since there aren't too many combos that check behind the flop and now have me beat I switched to c/c mode and got value from worse trips. I don't think there's a lot of value in inflating the pot from my side since its very WA/WB.

      Announcement for August 4th

I won't be able to hold my coaching on the upcoming Monday since I have no internet connection in my new flat yet.

I think everything will be done until Monday 11th so the coaching will be held as scheduled then again.

Sorry, I can't give any reviews to my last 2 coachings in the past 2 weeks since I wasn't playing on my own PC :)
I can say i finished up both times about 1 or 2 stacks, so nice sessions. I'll have a full review for tomorrow again.

As mentioned in several places now, I was unable to hold a normal coaching due to problems with the player, prob. caused by a software update. I was getting disconnected permanently so I had pretty much no choice but to break it up.
I hope the problem to be solved for next Monday.

Played a nice session today and the coaching player worked out fine again so there were no disconnect problems this time which I really appreciate. Made a profit of $35 and answered some good questions by the guys in the channel about betsizing, preflop ranges and position play :)

      Review for September 8th

Played a really nice session yesterday where I finished up about 100$ which is a really nice result. The only problem is that due to the Pokerstars update I can't either import hands correctly nor in conclusion tell my exact stats or post interesting hands -.-
I hope I find a patch for next week and it will work again without problems.

Today was also the first ever PLO Gold German Coaching, which unfortunately happened to be hold simuiltaniuosly to my silver english coaching. Fortunately the staff already announced to move the german coaching to another day so there won't be coachings for PLO hold at the same time, which is important since we only have three of the in a week :)

Sorry that I have to skip one week but I wasn't playing on my PC so I can't go into detail too much. But for today's session I'm making a complete review again.

preflop call is okay given the fact everyone overcalls anyway. flop is really tricky spot actually, sets are unlikely but the board is drawy and there are a million players in the pot. turn is gin, river blanks, ship the pot :)
UTG's call is pretty bad, he doesn't get the right odds.

The most interesting hand of the session. I expected his hand to be AA** often, in which case a fold is decent, but since I did not had a strong read I flatted preflop. Flop is nice, ragged and every 3,4,6 or 8 makes me straight.
The turn is just §%$& but since it's close for him to call with an overpair I opted to bet again, he, however calls, and in retrospect I can say that his call there is bad since he has to make a flush most times since I'm either vbetting or semi-bluffing, rarely if ever pure bluffing. Anyway, I thought about a shove on the river but it was just too few money left (1/2 pot), with more money to "scare" him it's a nice move since he's very unlikely to have a FH.

So very decent session anyway, up 135$ plus the millions I get for the coaching :P

Good session again, got coolered 2 times or so but ended up a BI :)

Best hand of the day (reraising on the flop is kinda twilight b/c I isolate me against straights/strong draws but I have to protect once the shortie goes AI. Well, even against strong draws I still have almost 50% so can't be too bad :)
