These guys have seen the so called pro's make this play for publicity, and think, how cool would it be to win a big pot with 72o. Gambler's! Whaat would posess someone to play against the odds?

      all I can say is...wow.

Those are exactly the kinds of people I love sitting at my table. Very nice (and fun) hand.

I had almost the identical thing happen to me, but my hand was four queens, his was 72. I'll have to see if I can find it in my pokertracker logs (it was a few weeks ago) and post it.

Ah.. found it. This was back when I was still playing on the 10 cent tables.

I just called his flop bet rather than raised it all in since I had the absolute nuts. Figured I'd give him another chance to bluff at it, and he did. With only 35 cents left here, I should have just went all in right there, but didn't want to give him a reason to not put that extra 35 cents in. I wanted it all!

When he turned over 72.. you can imagine my LOL. I was picturing in my mind how happy he must have been to rivered that 2. He had to be thinking "SWEET! 2 Pair!!"

I just love it when your opponent is trying to represent the hand that I actually have.

Heh, while we're posting 72 hands, here's another one.
I'm a bit ashamed of it, but.. I had a good reason for it. This table was really tight, everyone folding anytime I put a bet in front of me.

It folded around to me, I was in the small blind, was stealing with any two cards from this guy. (was playing my table image, not the cards. Normally on microstakes I figure no one is paying attention to anything but their own cards, but on this table, anytime I bet everyone folded)

This time my 2 cards just happened to be 72, and he just happened to call.

I made the continuation bet, which he raised. I got a very small piece of the flop and most of my money was in the pot anyway, so I pushed all in and he.. folded. It was a 7 dollar pot and he only needed to call another 55 cents.

I guess pot odds of nearly 13 to 1 wasn't good enough for him.
Oh well, I didn't complain. I may actually have had the best hand, but I didn't think so until he folded.
