Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 8
3 folds, BTN raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.25, BB folds

      Flop: ($3.50) Q 9 6 (2 players)
      Hero checks, BTN checks

      Turn: ($3.50) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BTN calls $2

      River: ($7.50) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $6, Hero folds

      Anon table.

As I think about it now, I dont really like my turn bet, because it doesnt accomplish much. He would maybe fold some Ax, but if he went for potcontroll with some middlish hand (JJ/TT/9x), he definitely wont fold to one bet. Plus I dont have much implied odds with my draw, as it is very obvious...

      Hello pcfmcc02,

Though if we Check the problem will be that we ain't going to get very good odds once he beats near the pot. Which means if we check vs bigger bet Check/Fold it, so therefore I wouldn't say the Bet on the turn is very bad, might even protect sometimes our hand. So overall seems to be fine.

Nor I am not saying that Checking in those spots would be very wrong but I tend to bet myself in those spots more often whilst also having equity vs any hand.

      Best Regards.
