Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with 9 :diamond: 9
1 fold, CO raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.30, 1 fold, BB calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.95) A :diamond: 8  5 :club: (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $0.50, BB folds, CO calls $0.50

      Turn: ($1.95) 4 :diamond: (2 players)
      CO checks, Hero checks

      River: ($1.95) 5  (2 players)
      CO bets $0.50, Hero folds

At the time of play I thought it makes sense to protect from overcards but then again, why not just check? I am not getting called by worse, whereas someone may very well have a weak Ax hand, especially the openraiser, who could even have a stronger PP that bluffcatches instead of cBetting.

      Hi,

problem with checking is that you giveaway free cards, and also with bet that you take pot down at least half the times that makes your bet profitable+ if you have there smt like AQ/AJ then you sometimes get called by worse hands and you balance out your BU betting range.
River fold I guess is fine, although that small bet would rather induce me to raise 2.5$, since the way he played he can´t really have there strong hand and if player is capable folding then raise would most of the times show profit

      best regards,
