Party, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

      v/p/3/af (H)

      CO: $43.29 (173.2 bb)
      MP3: $42.40 (169.6 bb)
      MP2: $70.57 (282.3 bb) 86/18/0/1.6 22
      Hero (UTG+2): $25 (100 bb)
      BTN: $39.27 (157.1 bb)
      BB: $25.56 (102.2 bb)
      MP1: $37 (148 bb)
      SB: $25 (100 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with A A
      Hero raises to $0.75, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.75, MP3 calls $0.75, 4 folds

      Flop: ($2.60) 7 Q J (3 players)
      Hero bets $2, MP2 calls $2, MP3 folds

      Turn: ($6.60) Q (2 players)
      Hero bets $4.70, MP2 calls $4.70

      River: ($16) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $63.12 and is all-in, Hero ???

I would easily call a small bet here, but the shove took me by surprise.
They don't do this at NL 2 :s_cool:
I thought a bit, and decided if he really had a hand, he would bet something I would likely call.
It looked like he wanted a fold -- possibly Ax, AJ. Something he would call with pre but not raise.
If he did have a Q or 7 oh well.

Is this sensible thinking, or am I digging myself my own grave?

      $51.10 pot ($2.55 rake)
Hero calls $17.55 and is all-in
      Final Board: 7 Q J Q 7
      MP2 showed T 3 and won $0.00 (-$25.00 net)
      Hero showed A A and won $48.55 ($23.55 net)

      Hello VorpalF2F,

Well, if you call then you call also the shove, so your thinking ain't really that clear. Plus you have just pot size Bet left there anyways, I'd also ship there with any made hand.

Nor I don't see why would he try to bluff us out with Jx? He has showdown value and he almost always Checks behind the river with it, which means we have to be against missed draws there what we have beat. But from a fishy range we can never exclude even Qx hands which play this way. So it's rather up to you if you assume him having missed draws or not, cause that's the only hands you have beat. Either Check/Fold it or Check/Call it.

      Best Regards.
