Party, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      BTN: $55.63 (111.3 bb)
      BB: $141.64 (283.3 bb)
      Hero (UTG): $50.50 (101 bb)
      MP: $57.65 (115.3 bb)
      CO: $52.52 (105 bb)
      SB: $51.09 (102.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A K
Hero raises to $1.50, MP calls $1.50, 3 folds, BB calls $1

      Flop: ($4.75) A 3 6 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3.50, MP calls $3.50, BB calls $3.50

      Turn: ($15.25) J (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $11.20, MP calls $11.20, BB folds

      River: ($37.65) J (2 players)
Hero bets $34.30 and is all-in, MP calls $34.30

Opponent is a winning reg: 23/18 3bIP 6,1 ; so far 0 from MP (9 samples) Plays overall solid game.
The other one (BB) is a fishier kind of guy 28/12/ WTSD 30; more on the passive side.

I think pre, flop and turn are played well, because our main target is the fish in this hand. But what about the river: it seems that my shove is too strong here and I do not get called by worse (maybe only AQ) but I am sure he plays his sets and AJ also this way.
But if I dont shove, what do I do - bet small and fold to a raise ? check /call ? or c/fold ?

flop is ok. Thing u should noticed after MP calls is, that he never has light floats on this board vs UTG&fish beh. His range is only AQ/AJ and 33/66. Turn is really bad card for us, since we are beating only AQ now. Combinatorial its 8xAQ vs 12xAJ/66/33, so as u see, u dont have value bet even on turn. If BB would be some 60/5/WTSD 40 guy, I would probably bet something like 1/2 pot and c/f river vs MP/shove if MP fold and BB call.

Even if he calls ATs pf, its just 2c so still u cant vbet vs him. I would probably check on turn and really consider folding if MP bets, vs his range we have 2/0 outs and he doesnt have to bet AQ everytime.

River is such huge overplay, I cant imagine he calls with AQ(I would also consider folding AQ on turn if i was MP, he beats really nothing from your range). For me crystal clear c/f river.

      Hello kosmonaut111,

I like the play till the turn, afterwards it it becomes really complicated cause our main goal was actually to play vs the fish which didn't work out. So therefore I can't really see the reg calling you with a lot worse hands unless he is a losing reg, though even those guys wont call you down very loose. Nor the guy doesn't have bluffs on the river range so we can easily Check/Fold it.

      Best Regards.
