      Playing MSS on NL2

So this happened and I have a feeling I didn't play it well.
Playing against a midstack at the beginning of a session, so didnt have any reads on him.

I think I could have had more value since he called my bet on the flop on this board. I was hesitant to bet because I wanted to go to showdown and not scare him off and made a very thin bet on the river for the same reason.

Well, I think you'll find advise from the Mods saying the following:
Top up to $2 with auto-rebuy in the future.
Bet the turn to maximize value. Players at the low limits will often call light. If he has nothing, then there is a good chance he'll fold on the turn nearly as much as the river, and his call on the river indicates he might/probably would have called the Turn as well.

Yeah I agree, I definitely should have bet the turn.

Also, I play MSS, that's why I don't rebuy to max.

      Hi,

With strong hands I think best line would bet bet all 3 streets and even consider overbetting on the river if you feel that player would mostly call you down. If you check turn then you should bet river 0.15$-0.45$. 8x would never fold river and if somehow Jx also checked back then he would also call your big bet

      best regards,
