Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with A  8 :club:
4 folds, SB calls $0.01, Hero checks

      Flop: ($0.04) A :spade: 2 :diamond: 2 :spade: (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($0.04) 5 :diamond: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.04, SB raises to $0.08, Hero folds

Would he really check with a 2 two times in a row, or A5 on the turn?
Kind of unknown, so I guess yes. Or weak?

Got to ask you why you are not betting on that flop? Makes your game play a lot easier when you know what's your status at the moment.

Even if the stat size is small, he could have anything there. Maybe K2s, 34, A5, Ax-hands.. And he could be slowplaying there, as players on this level usually have no idea about protection and stuff.

      Hi,

I would raise pre-flop, since A8 is ahead 70% of hands:
      A8 57.76% 12,691,990,712 915,900,604
      70% 42.24% 9,158,902,668 915,900,604

I would prefer betting flop myself, since I think I have best hand close to 95% and I am happy to bet all 3 streets for value.

Also I would not b/f turn, since his hand range does not make any sense and I think he is making some strange c/r bluff a lot more than having 2x, straight or even A5.

      Best regards,

You are right, I was weak postflop.

But does it make sense to raise preflop? He would fold the worse part of his range.
We are ahead of limping range, but limp/calling range? I agree, that with a minraise, we could stack him if we hit an A, so its not that bad. He wont fold anything to a minraise.

      Hello Imimba1,

Preflop: Against the limp could easily even raise it up, our hand is too strong to just Check and let him see free cards. :P

      As played
Postflop: Bet the flop & I'd still Bet/Call the turn for the given odds. We want to get value from FD on the flop which most likely would pay us.

      Best Regards.

You know Imimba, in the long run, your winnings will be counted by the bb's that you won. If you can take that one extra blind that your limper put there, you're already improving your winrate in long run a lot. So it doesn't even matter if he folds =) You win an extra blind.
