in this hand I tried floating and I would like to know if my thoughts to do so were correct.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Přehrát handu

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      BU (Hero):

      Villain is 16/12/33(stealCO)/88(CbetF)/20(CbetT)/33(WTSD)/234hands

Preflop: Hero is BU with 8, 8.
2 folds, CO raises to $0.08, Hero calls $0.08, 2 folds, BB folds.

Preflop action is obvious. I call for set value but this time I have a plan B. On good flops I will float because of his high cbetF stats and low cbetT stats. Also 33% steal from CO is gih enough too.

      Flop: ($0.19) Q, 7, 2 (2 players)
CO bets $0.12, Hero calls $0.12.

I dont hit my set but the flop is great for floating. So I call with a plan to fold on the turn against a bet or raise or to take th epot down with my own bet.

      Turn: ($0.43) 5 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $0.28, CO folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

My plan works. Hopefully it was correct.

      Final Pot: $0.43.

I think its okay to float against this guy since he is so honest on the turn we can flat almost anything IP and then take it away on turns when he checks back. Just make sure he doesn't pick up that you made this adjustment to him.

      Hello Dandiiik,

Seems to be fine as long we can often times even expect to be ahead and people tend to give up in those spots. Nice hand!

      Best Regards.
