Prima, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

      BTN: $29.65 (59.3 bb)
      SB: $98.22 (196.4 bb)
      BB: $50.50 (101 bb)
      UTG: $14.25 (28.5 bb)
      MP: $78.03 (156.1 bb)
      Hero (CO): $50 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 5 A
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $4.50, 3 folds, MP calls $3

      Flop: ($9.75) J 3 Q (2 players)
      MP checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($9.75) 5 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $5.50, MP folds

      Anon table.

      MP was a reg.
I checked flop, because it hits his calling range quite hard (Qx/Jx/JJ/TT, maybe even AK), and I could get a lot of calls, and dont have much equity to barrel.
On the turn I made a bet, because he checked to me twice (sign of weakness), plus I got some equity with my pair.

      Hello pcfmcc02,

Yep, worst flop to CB vs his calling range whilst it hits hardly and I do agree also about the turn play. If he had a made hand as Qx and even Jx he would most likely have Bet the turn so we can take down the pot there and might even protect our hand.

      Best Regards.
