Prima, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

      CO: $58.79 (117.6 bb)
      Hero (BTN): $61.57 (123.1 bb)
      SB: $36.75 (73.5 bb)
      BB: $50 (100 bb)
      UTG: $54.25 (108.5 bb)
      MP: $120.10 (240.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 8 7
UTG raises to $1.50, MP folds, CO calls $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 2 folds

      Flop: ($5.25) J K 6 (3 players)
UTG checks, CO bets $3.50, Hero raises to $10, UTG folds, CO raises to $57.29 and is all-in, Hero folds

      Anon table.

Both UTG and CO are regs. Is it good to raise on the flop? UTG will very likely ch/fold, so CO could take a stab with a wide range here, and has to fold a lot to my raise, and I dont have any kind of showdown value, just my equity and position...

      any reads on CO?

I think calling should be your standard play here. I rarely raise non combo flush draws in position. I don't mind a raise/fold here if this guy likes to barrel Turn a lot, cos we cannot call the TUrn again with such a weak flush draw. I don't think it's a big deal to have to throw away an 8 high flush draw

With a hand like Ac2c, I would definitely call in this spot unless I felt that I had a lot of value in inducing a 3bet bluff on the flop and then I would be able to shove it in and take down the dead money in the pot.

With ace high you can bluff catch 2 streets and show your hand down, beating all worse straight draws (QJ etc) and flush draws.

Not much, it was on anonim table, I had something like 30-40 hands on him, his stats looked reggish.

      Hello pcfmcc02,

Not a huge fan of raising in those spots either whilst we are representing rather narrow range, whilst the guy should still have a decent equity range to continue which is betting. I'd be also rather just Check/Calling it once and reevaluating the turn.

With Check/Raise you ain't making better draws to fold anyways so doesn't have much of purpose whilst we can't be sure how many TP holdings the guy is going to fold either.

      Best Regards.
