This surprised me so I thought I'd post it:

      PLO10, 100bb stacks, 6 max:

Villain (CO) is loose agressive and will 3-bet an 8% range but will only 4 bet AAxx.
      Hero (BTN) has a super-premium: T :diamond: J :diamond: Q :club: K :club:

Villain raises to $0.35, Hero raises to $1.20, Villain raises to $3.75, Hero calls $3.75.

On the flop Villain shoves his last $6.25 (which he will do with his whole range). On which of these flops do you have the equity to call:

      Equity required to call:

Equity required to call = Call / (Call + Existing Pot (including bet we will call))

      6.25/(6.25+13.75) = 0.31 = 31%

You have the required equity in all the examples apart from B. and F.

That's all correct..One more thing I'd like you to take notice of..

EQ =average equity you need to call the flop
EQ% = how often there's a flop with required equity.
then this condition must be met for your preflop call to be profitable.
EQ%*EQ*200>= 25.5 (how much you called before the flop)

It's true that if you have a bigger than 31.25% equity on flop, your flop call will be profitable. But if you always call there with that exact equity, you'll lose 37.5bb per hand. whereas if you folded to the 4bet you'd only lose 12bb.
The question then is if the hand flops good enough and often enough for you to call the preflop call.

      Thanks IhasLuck - agreed.

You're addressing the question of whether or not it is profitable to call the 4-bet from AAxx (assuming you call on the flop where you have sufficient equity against an AAxx range).

We can work out the EV of calling the 4-bet as follows:

EV = (% of flops we fold x -25.5bbs) plus % of flops we call x ((average equity on those flops x total number of bbs) - Amount invested from Calling 4-bet).

Yup that seems correct, now JonikoP can you tell me the EV of calling the 4bet in this situation?
