if i assume a range of AKo/s JJ+, i think i can even go broke, but vs a tighter range of QQ+, i cannot. is this right?

i don't particularly like going broke PF w/ AK anyway.

Either shove or fold pre, flatting with AK OOP like this is horrible imo. For me, in blind battle, this is 99% of the time easy shove.

I think you need to see how he is playing from the blinds btw. 3bet% stat is not enough.

I don't like shoving preflop with AKo that deep (unless I have strong reads that opponent is complete maniac).

I am only 3betting if I am planning to call a 4bet as you did, only if I think he will 4bet Ax+, KJ+. I am looking at cashing in vs. weaker aces mostly, or worse Kxs if K flops.

But, if I am vs. a tighter player, while I can put him on a range of hands above for a steal, his 4bet range from SB can be pretty strong. In that case I just flat the BB v. his steal and I play in position to cash in vs. worse hands.

      Hello tofu22,

Calling the 4bet doesn't really make sense mate. :P You are just going to waste tons of money there, either ship da money or just fold it.

      Best Regards.
