      BTN: $2.01 (50.2 bb)
      Hero (SB): $4.20 (105 bb)
      BB: $4.24 (106 bb)
      MP1: $1.95 (48.8 bb)

      MP3: $7.23 (180.8 bb)
      CO: $16.75 (418.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A K
2 folds, MP3 raises to $0.12, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, BB folds, MP3 raises to $0.88, Hero raises to $2.32, MP3 calls $1.44

      Flop: ($4.68) 8 3 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $2.34, Hero folds

Properly not the best villain to play for stacks against, this might have been a tilt causing this play, however as the flop came I didn't really see any reason to continue..
My plan was to get him to fold, I guess I felt as every player knew I would fold eventually, and wanted to defend/revenge my hand.

      Whats the verdict? :)
Coiuld I have called this player instead, would that have been ok?

It's allowed to fold to a 4bet from this guy, he seems nitty.

However, in that case, I would probably consider flatting the raise rather than turning my hand into a bluff. I usually try to play for stacks when I 3bet a hand for value, otherwise, what's the point?

      Hello Resilence,

As mentioned above, most likely vs MP range rather just Call and play postflop.

      Best Regards.
