      Heeeeey!

As I already mentioned in my basic school topic: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=200602, I'm going to start blog to organize my poker play and make it better (at least I hope so).

You can find there some basic informations about me, so I'm not going to write it down here again. Feel free to ask, if you wanna know something.

I have already moved to a new home, as I started to study in high school, so no one is screaming "wash the dishes! go out with a god! clean up this mess!", cause now I'M INDEPENDENT :D It is good for my poker carrer, because I can mainly focus on improving myself, but there are also cons of this situation... I have to cook, god, I can't cook O.O

Anyway, if you read my BSS school topic then you should know that I'm here with a nice girl, who feeds me sometimes, so I won't die too fast.

Ok, let's go back to a poker, I didn't have any idea how to name this blog. I'm the worst writer in the world, so don't expect anything special from me. The main reason why I named the blog like that are 2 graphs, here you go:

      NL2:

      Uploaded with ImageShack.us

      Aaaaaand NL5:

      Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Conclusion is easy, I'm getting raped by nl5 harder than Ms. Sex Provider by her customers.

I think that red line will meet devil someday, if it will go down so fast. I have read that it's not a huge leak on micro, so I'm not getting pissed of yet. Yet.

Everyhand was played on ZOOM, I have decided to start playing on normal tables from today. Most of the people said that it will boost my skills, gonna check if it's true, or they are just antizoom guys.

I will mainly focus on poker in my blog, since it's poker site, but I wanna post some math and physics exercises here and I will be glad, if someone could help me to make them. Of course I don't mean "do it for me", but HELP me, so tell me where I'm missing something and so on.

I won't whine here too much, because zoom made me tiltless, nothing is able to surprise me now, seriously  Anyway, let's just go for goals, as it will be motivating for me.

      GOALS:

      - 50k hands per month
      - Post at least one hand to evaluation after every session.
      - Join 2 coachings per week. Have to do some reminders as I always forget about it -.-
      - Start to evaluate others hands again, at least those from my limit.
      - Profit? Not so important, but would be good if I could shot nl5 again before october ends.
      - Find a job for a weekends.
      - Get a girlfriend, last and the most important as it's the main reason why I'm studying here :f_love:

Should be ok for a start. Feel free to cheer, criticise or just post a random comment. Gonna update with a session results in the evening.

Had problems with NL5Z myself. Think I got hang of it at the end but then moved quickly to NL10Z (+14bb/100 after 7k hands there :D ). I'm playing similar style as you ie about 15k hands per month (500 hands a day usually).

Btw when I started playing at zoom tables in the beginning I felt also that it's not poker at it's core (compared to normal tables) but after few k hands I realised it's just like normal poker with it's all aspects (meta game etc). The thing is, you play so many hands per hour that you will meet your opponents, especially regulars, quite often and therefore you have plenty of reads and stats to make your decisions (not just ABC-strategy).

Here's some pro-zoom talk for you. They make it possible, for me, to play poker, because only with 45mins a day I can have good amount of 15k hands per month (at let's say NL25 with normal winrate that's enough to cashout solid amounts of money). I don't need to find tables, play long time to get required hands, I'm good with 4 tables at once with plenty of action so I wouldn't get bored, if I have more than $x at a table I can just leave and rejoin with 100bb, also starting and ending a session is not stressful. I have college , girlfriend, hobbys and I like playing dota2 - all that is possible thanks to zoom. So for me it's a blessing from poker heavens :D .

Anyway good luck at the tables and keep working on your game, I'm sure you will beat the limits that way ;) and you don't have to take that weekend job - just casually play poker.

      ^ i approve of that post :D
don't listen to the anti-zoom guys! zoom is great :P

even though normal tables with good table selection and stuff should indeed net a quite higher bb/100

Oh, thanks for your answers :)

@cufc37 Thanks for your post. We will crush nl5 soon for sure, there is no other option!

@timukasr Thanks for your kind words. I agree with everything you wrote about zoom, I will probably come back there since I like it so muuuuuuuch. But still gonna try normal tables, just to see if there is any difference.

@monster1117 You must be happy person if you beat nl5. Sometimes I think if I can just grind my way to nl10 on nl2 :D Good luck

@Tomaloc Oh crap, I wanna be like you someday. Your blog is amazing... :P As I mentioned earlier, I will come back to zoom for sure and then my montly hand goal will increase at least 4 times...

About today session. Nothing interesting happens tbh, 500 hands 1BI+ 15bb/100, pretty standard. My first impression about normal tables? I don't like it :D 6 tables are booooooring, so booooooooring, I don't know what to do while I have no cards. Table selection sucks so hard, changing table, because only nit bastards are sitting. Anyway, I gotta try to play it at least for a week, so I can say more about it. By now zoom > normal.

Can someone explain why these 2 hands are EV-? These 2 made my session ends above EV, something doesn't work here imo :P

      thank you sir :D
i have been REALLY lazy with everything this month, i hope to get back on schedule next month :D

about these hands, i guess that what you mean is that winnings line is above the EV line?
standard because if you won you didn't let them realize their 10-30% suckout equity or whatever, so you are above EV :f_biggrin:

Hmmm, I was always thinking that if I'm running above EV then I won some all in situations with less than 50% equity, the same when I'm under EV, I lost where I was ahead when stacks went to the pot.

1 day of blog and I already learn something new :)

No time to play today, I have played like 50 hands on zoom and had set < straight, set < straight, flush < full house. It means that I shouldn't play anymore :D

Anyway, I had a surprise today, one of the coaches from P* school will give me a free session review and he will use it as a material on live coachings, yeeeeey. I need to record 1 hour video, so gonna do it till the weekend.

And, update on last goal from list. It's like 15% complete now, 85 more and I'm in heaven :D

Normal tables are not for me  It's just too boring, I can't focus so I can't learn anything. ZOOM FTW. Gonna update my goals tommorow.

Best hands of today session (+1BI over 1k hands):

You can't bet 0,30$ here, look at his stack! You can check and try to let him bluff, depending on his stack, but don't bet 0,30$! You can bet 0,10$ on the flop, 0,25$ on the turn and 0,45$ on the river, for example.

@Gnama You are right, didn't notice his stack size tbh.

Ok, I'm coming back after 2 week break, played some poker in that time, but mostly it wasn't my A-game. I have to stop playing while I'm thinking about 2329832932 different things, besides poker.

I have relaxed in my home, cause I had 5 days break from school (yay!), so I'm clear minded now and ready to pwn.

      After last post graph:

      Graph from today's session:

The main problem I have to focus on is calling the river bet/raise/push. I mean, in most of the cases it's just a nuts and I'm far far far behind, but something in my head is screaming "CAAAAAAALLLLLLLL, HE IS BLUFFING YOU, WHAT A BASTARD", and I call, scumbag brain.

Dunno if I made some impossible goals, or it is just too hard for me to focus on completing them, but the only one that are processing further, are hands/month, coachings and profit. I'm forgetting about posting hands, evaluating hands... I'm way too lazy for a job, so I'm not even going to push myself for finding it. Seriously, I'm not made for working, someone will have to do it for me :D And about the girlfriend part... It is way too hard, women are weird, some guides would be helpful.

I have made a simple plan, like 1h learning, 1h playing, 15 minutes break and so on. It is working, since I can use everything I have learn in a game + I'm not tired after 2 hours. I can see a light in my future :f_biggrin:

      Hey Hi Hello!

      Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I feel like a poker God now :D My A-game is pretty decent, I just need to keep it up and I will be alright. Gonna shot nl5 (6th time?) on weekend probably, so wish me luck.

Gonna post some fishy hands, there were few that made me laugh so hard:

Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

When I saw flop, I was like "oh god, he will be mad if we get to showdown". He had 15% of 3bet, are you calling KQs OOP?

That one was some random fish 40/0, I really couldn't figure out what to do on the turn. Some people are saying that overbet=nuts, which is true in most of the situations, but hey I won :D

Are you completing blind, or just folding? Raise is also an option, but I'm not such a good player to play this kind of hand oop.

On the first hand, completing the blind doesn't give much value to the pot... I mean, I don't really like to play hands when there's a 8c pot... If you hit 2 pairs, as it occured, you won't get a lot of money from your opponents very often. I play NL2 and these hands are a fold or a raise. It's tough to play a hand oop without initiative!
Haha the second hand is complete NL2. When you lose hands like that to a weak player is the best way to work anti-tilt!! :D

You can add me to your friends/buddys if you want. I'm grinding NL2 where I have a great winrate and I might take few shots at NL4 very soon. We could skype/discuss here about hands and stuff!
