      I have no stats on villian. I'd only been playing with him a while. I had attempted to steal a few times and most of them got through so he seemed to be a solid player.

      As you can see he showed no aggression until the river when he lead out that was why I only called which I'm thankful for now. i suppose I just need clarification that this hand is just one of those unfortunate things or do you think he's aggression on the river should have sent alarm bells ringing

      In this instance you did really well to lose the minimum and it is just 'one of those things.'

      That said, in the long run I think you have to be raising this River or leave money at the table IMO.

      75%+ Cbet the Flop as you have to charge the flush draws and build a pot with what is the best hand the majority of the time.

      Ps. defo worth noting how he played middle set on the flop here and missed a ton of value.

      playing it safe and just calling is fine. I would likely raise there 3$ rather putting him on QJ.
