Party, $0.02/$0.04 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      UTG: $4.99 (124.8 bb)
      Hero (BTN): $7.47 (186.8 bb)
      MP: $4.40 (110 bb)
      CO: $4.22 (105.5 bb)
      BB: $4.56 (114 bb)
      SB: $4.01 (100.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with J Q
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, SB folds, BB raises to $0.80, Hero ??

Pretty sure this was a fold, but in SH I am still getting use to 3betting/ calling 3bets. player was pretty taggy, so I gave it up, and I wasn't sure if this was a defence or not.

That seems like a pretty big size raise to me, 3betting to 20BB. No idea what the usual size was at the table, but given he is a tag, I would think he is raising like that mostly for value. As his stack is not that deep, then I think yours is a fold. If he was deeper, then I would think about it depending on what I think I can extract from him if I hit a hand, or if he is very passive after the flop, etc. I much rather KQs in that case though... :D

So, for me yes, it is a fold :)

      Hello Chowchow12,

Just fold it and let it be, not worth trying to fight back vs a guy who 3bets that big.

      Best Regards.
