[NL2-NL10] 3 betting in SH

      Preflop: Hero is BTN with J Q
      3 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, SB folds, BB raises to $0.80, Hero ??

      Pretty sure this was a fold, but in SH I am still getting use to 3betting/ calling 3bets. player was pretty taggy, so I gave it up, and I wasn't sure if this was a defence or not.

      That seems like a pretty big size raise to me, 3betting to 20BB. No idea what the usual size was at the table, but given he is a tag, I would think he is raising like that mostly for value. As his stack is not that deep, then I think yours is a fold. If he was deeper, then I would think about it depending on what I think I can extract from him if I hit a hand, or if he is very passive after the flop, etc. I much rather KQs in that case though... :D

      So, for me yes, it is a fold :)

      Just fold it and let it be, not worth trying to fight back vs a guy who 3bets that big.
