      Hi guys,

Im jay from the phillipines I play at stars under flyingspades, and I created this thread so I can post maybe my weekly progress I deposited $200 and playing 6-Max cash.. I started 12 tabling 2NL, and decided to move to 5NL and cut down my tables since I think I still have a lot of things to look at w my play.. decided to play 4 tables and currently grind 6 tables.. so decided to post my BR, Graph, and stats and also some hands hopefully... and the purpose of this is for other players to comment about my play, specially leaks.. and technically any comments about my progress.. Im still a newby and wanted to improve badly  , so any comment is appreciated.. Maybe w hands Ill be posting it on the hand eval section not here.. So here It goes..

this is where Im going to start this is my current stats and graph.. my goal as of now since Im working full time and a father of 2 kids(which I dont consider to be a hindrance at all :P ) is to play at least 2 hours a day..

Ooops I guess I still need to study how to post picture here lol anyway:

      current BR is $223.40

      My C/100: $0.35
      BB/Hour: 7.19
      My C/Day: $2.30

Using PT4 Im not sure but when I look @ my stats under statistics ofcourse :f_biggrin:
its only giving me 3,114 hands not sure why but anyway..

      VPIP: 17.61
      PFR: 13.28
      Total AFq: 50.92
      WTSD%: 26.9
      WSD: 56.64

      By position: Hands/VPIP/PFR/My C Won

      BTN: 575/27.83/24.35/-$2.01
      CO: 559/18.96/16.64/$8.14
      MP: 516/12.4/11.24/$5.77

All I can say for now is that for 6-max you might be playing too tight, based on your vpip and pf. About button, it depends how you play that position.

yeah, you might be playing too tight indeed, in general you want to open less on utg and more on co/bu.
in any case people at nl5- let you get away with it :f_biggrin:

you should never be losing from any position which are not the blinds, but that said, we can't judge your positional stats for that sample. proof that it is way too small is that you are winning from the bb

yeah 40 BI is really good. BRM is down to personal preference. when i started out i even used 15BI at nl2. i used 25 for nl4 but once i hit nl10 i tried to use 25 but it was way too tilting to lose a stack. so the next time i shot for it i had 40BI. if i'm confident in my game and especially confident on a certain limit, i don't think i need as much. like if i moved back down to nl2 or nl4 now id probably be happy with some aggro BRM but i much prefer having a nitty BRM since it helps me tilt less if i run really bad.

so while BRM is down to personal preference to some degree, understanding the proper reason why we have it is essential. check out this video if you haven't already, and you will see why it is so important to have enough money. generally 25 BI is fine, but also ask yourself how you feel when you lose a stack at your limit. what about 5 stacks?

that's good to see! don't expect quick results. the more you study, the quicker your results and the less money you lose as you move up later on. it isn't easy and there is a lot to learn but if you can work through it then you should be fine.

took an off today and I have some questions here.. I think Im having a problem playing OOP so much like BLINDS, and EP.. specially when facing a raise from BU against LAG or loose passive fish and I got lets say AJ+.. Let me give some examples here..
      ex.
      1. a raise from LAG BU, and Im holding A10+, KQ- here I always wanted to 3bet since I know Im ahead of their range.. but doing this will bloat flop and give me bad spot on playing post since I know I`ll be called pre..
      2. a raise from LAG BU, and Im holding PP- not sure if its ok to setmine or just play it aggressively..

Here`s what I do now that I think is causing me problems when I get a BU raise from a LAG, or Loose passive one.. I normally just flat w AJ+, KQ type of hands cause I know that by 3 betting Ill get call anyway and will have to invest money again by cbetting OOP.. but the more problem is whenever I do this and hit TPTK or TPGK.. Im not sure If I should donk? If I donk and got raised what the hell would I do?? or maybe just lead/broke on this spots, c/r, or c/c?

I find it more easy when facing a BU raise from reg, or TAG.. cause I know that they normally just steal and will fold to a 3bet..

      pls help me guys here..

      hey windar, yep that's it!

about your question, i replied in your other thread. when you say you normally just flat w/AJ+, KQ type of hands.. the big question isn't what hands you do it with, but your reasoning behind each action. what reasons might you want to flat, and what reasons might you want to raise? then think about each opponent type and think about what they do + with what hands, then think about the best action with each hand vs that villain. there are obviously more experienced players than myself who can probably offer you better advice but this is pretty fundamental to answering your question :)
