i have been playing poker for about 8 months or so. i have only started to take it seriously in the past 2 months where i realised i have lost almost £2,000 since january.

I am going to test my ability and skill to see if i am indeed a good enough poker player.

I play texas hold'em cash games and sit and goes.

im going to attempt to play around 4-5 hours per day:
2 hours cash game. .25/.50 or .5/1.00 6 handed or 9 handed games. i do not know which one is better to play on? any recommendations?

and 2 hours on 5.50 sit and goes, and 11.00 sit and goes. (20 seats, 4 handed, nitro.)

anyone got any suggestions on how to help me achieve my goal?

do i get it correctly - you are down lifetime and want to take on some pretty tough games in a pretty difficult challenge?

my advice would be to forget past losses, start from the bottom (or close to it) and work your way up from there. yes, i mean lolstakes

      Hi,

I suggest trying to master one poker-variant at a time. So only cash games or SNG's, not both. 9-max is the easiest to learn first because you should play tighter, which is easier.

      I second Tomaloc's advice: don't start playing those stakes. I would suggest NL5 cashgames and 1$ SNG's.

      Good luck!

impossible, if you can't even beat NL100 (most NL100 regs make 3-4k at the very most per month)

don't set unrealistic goals cos u won't achieve them

My cousin turned $20 into $30K in 3 months but he won a couple MTTs on a site that only accept players from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada lol. He had a BRM such as: play with no more than 20% of your BR in a cash game. He turned the $20 into $200, went into a $100MTT that was GTD $20K and ended up having less players than expected so the prize pool was $20K. He won his first MTT (for $4K). He kept going with that BR and eventually got it to $30K. He was never a losing player though with bad tendencies so good luck!

What BR will you start with?
Will you have a stop loss?

I give you under 0.0001% odds. Too limited time and you seem to want to play every form of poker specialize in something! Your goals are unachievable playing less then 400 hours as you state you are let alone with any winning experience

The thing about players who do that is they dont tend to keep much of it

If this post isn't a troll and you genuinely have lost over £2000 already, get some professional gambling help ... seriously. You shouldn't be playing NL100+, period. I don't believe you though, anyway. Bye.
